Life was never easy for the youngest child in the family. Born and raised in the town of Bato, Catanduanes by his farmer parents. He didn’t experience the luxury of having what he want. He needs to work for it, and he really needs to work hard. Vicente Agripa finished high school and didn’t have the opportunity to go to college, for his parents don’t have the resources. Thinking that he cannot go to college, he thinks of ways on how to earn. He work as a tricycle driver and put up a small eatery in their town.  He also delivered bread on a local store in near barangays and paid on commission basis. Because of this, he had an idea to open a bakeshop.

In the year 1995 he first started putting his own business in their Barangay in Del Rosario, Bato, Catanduanes. He named the bake shop JSV Bakeshop. J from his son John Vincent, S from his wife name Sonia and V for his name Vicente. With an initial investment of 50,000 pesos, he started the business employing only 3 individuals and buying the needed materials and equipment to start his business. The business in their town in Bato worked out well, and so in the year 2005, they started to put up a store in the town of Virac, the province capital, since the market there is bigger than in their hometown.

With his business, he was able to send his children to school, and buy properties that he is now enjoying. He can buy what he wants not like before, and more than that he can provide for his family, and give them a comfortable life.

Now after almost 23 years the company has 8 branches located in prime locations in the town of Virac, San Andres, Payo, Viga and Bato. Started with only 3 employees now he hires 70 people to work for his bake shop. And the company is still expanding not just to create more jobs but to create delicious and quality bread, cakes and pastries.
